The streets and people of Dublin make for a great combination for street photography. Throw in some good weather, the wonderful Photo Museum of Ireland as the venue, and participants who are ready and willing to put what we are learning into practice to get that shot in the best spots for street photography in Dublin, and what you have are the perfect ingredients for a Street Photography Workshop.
I have been doing photography workshops with Photo Museum of Ireland since 2015 and in all that time, in about 50 workshops it has only rained twice. The weather conditions at the start of September were perfect. Sunshine just puts people in a good mood and when we hit the streets of Dublin, the photo opportunities were a plenty.
I just love these workshops and the best part is always out photographing on the street. You can bring a group of ten people to a scene and you might think you will get ten of the same photos, but no. So often, I am amazed at what and how people can see, construct and deconstruct a scene. Here is a short video of some of the photos the 9 participants made on the day. Which ones are your favourite?
