Been in this photography game for quite a while now and the excitement, the enjoyment of the different stages in the process still hit hard, but what is as stale as unused sliced pan is the sharing to social media. I just cannot get myself motivated to do it. Instagram! I am looking at you, sunshine!
I continue to shoot – every day. There is always something that gets my visual interest. There are always photos to review; to edit. I love that part of the process.
I am deep in archiving, categorising the tens of thousands of images I have made over the past 15 years or so.
Overwhelming at times, to be honest.

I pick up photo books; immerse myself in them until the urge to check my phone kicks in.
One I have come back to this week is With or Without You – Jacob Aue Sobol – one of my favourite photographers.

Tonight, scrolling I find myself in Tokyo. It is April 2025.
The weather is pleasant. The day’s light has an elegance, the neon is a slow dance and the city is charged.

Tokyo has me.
It is photographic punctuation.
